Others, such as abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), must be monitored or repaired to prevent life-threatening ruptures. Many patients with vascular conditions such as fibroid tumors, varicocele, carotid blockages, peripheral arterial disease, or vascular problems within the brain, were treated surgically in the past. Because of new procedures and technologies, many conditions can be improved or eliminated with minimally invasive procedures performed by our vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists. Many of these procedures were developed by our own doctors.
