Ignacio Rua, MD

Dr. Rua received a medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1989. He completed his residency training in general surgery at Strong Memorial, Rochester, New York and joined The Surgical Group of Miami in March, 1995. He has had a broad based experience in general and vascular surgery. He completed specialty training in hepatic resection and liver transplantation surgery in Madrid, Spain. He maintains a strong interest in laparoscopic and open liver resection. He also completed an endovascular fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons and active in many societies of General and Vascular Surgery.
